Privacy Policy
This explains what personal information ROKIVENT collects, why, and the choices you have. We handle your data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one) and a securely scrambled (hashed) password.
- Orders and tickets: what you bought, when, and the ticket codes.
- Organizer details: business name, phone and bank details used for payouts.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, used to keep the site secure and stop abuse.
- Messages you send us.
Why we use it
To create your account, issue and check tickets, take payment, send your tickets and important notices by email, answer your questions, prevent fraud and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
- Event organizers see the name and email of people who bought tickets to their event, so they can run it and contact you about it.
- Paystack processes payments and payouts.
- Service providers that host the site (Cloudflare) and send email (Resend and Google).
- The authorities, only where the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage to remember choices such as dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account and ticket records while your account is active and for as long as we need to for refunds, disputes and legal record keeping.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email support@rokivent.com and we will respond. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed and payments go through Paystack. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
